For anyone who has asked or wants to:
I go to live figure drawing sessions in my city and use references from http://idol.sankakucomplex.com/, 4chan’s /hc/ and /s/ boards and tumblr. With coloring, my policy is to try something new every time I color a picture. I can’t make a tutorial for something like coloring because it shouldn’t be like building a model airplane, it should be very personal and expressive. You can’t impress yourself if you’re doing as you’re told. try everything to get the results you like to see. The only way to get good is to make drawings, a lot of drawings. There are 3 things I swear by and I do it only because people who are actually good swear by them
1)Trying something new every time. basically get out of your comfort zone. I personally think the comfort zone is what makes good artists good. Draw what you want, but when it comes to poses, situations and backgrounds, try to get out of the comfort zone. I’ve only started trying to do this in the last year.
2) Using a reference. look at a picture of what it is you’re drawing THERE IS NO WAY TO GET AROUND THIS.
3) draw a lot, all the time, any time you can
